Our Project for Burning Man 2006: The Shadow Chamber

The Shadow Chamber Project is ambient chills space the surrounds the viewer in a landscape of flowing shadows and atmospheric music. Inside this space will be a room that contains a series of spinning and rotating shadow projectors creating a powerful and immersive visual experience. We are creating this project for the 2006 Burning Man fire arts festival, as well as for parties in Detroit such as Theatre Noir.

What is Theatre Noir?

Imagine a Film Noir (ranging from Maltese Falcon, to Sin City and Bound)set on the grounds of an run down and twisted carnival. Think seduction, fire, sex, fashion, fire, music, burlesque, cabaret, style, gangsters, bondage, devious criminal, fedoras, sideshow acts, garters, freaks, juggling, loose morals and fast times -- you'll start to get an idea. Costumes of all sorts encouraged, from tongue in cheek to elegant and sleek.

When? Saturday July 22nd

Where? The Infamous Theatre Bizarre by the State Fair Grounds, Detroit.
